GWAC is volunteering at KEEN!

At KEEN programs, volunteers spend quality time with children and young adults with significant disabilities, getting them active and helping them to have fun. The volunteers’ role is to help the KEEN athletes be active and encourage them to try their best. KEEN offers an open, non-competitive environment where every child can be a winner. All KEEN programs are free of charge to the families.

KEEN is looking for:

• Caring and energetic volunteers to enjoy recreational, noncompetitive and non-structured sports activities with young people with disabilities.
• Help KEEN athletes get exercise, have fun, work on social skills and make friends..
• No experience or long-term commitment is required.

Registration Instructions:

CLICK ON THE REGISTRATION LINK TWICE. The first time is to register and the second it to get on the list for this particular event.

When registering, type your email address rather than use autofill or copy and paste. Auto fill/copy-paste carries hidden code that causes forms to be rejected.

DO NOT skip the date of birth field. The default for this field is today’s date, so if it’s skipped the system will think you are a day old and too young to volunteer.

All required fields must be completed.

The form requires two references. These should be adults who are not family.

Once you complete the form and hit submit, if it doesn't go through, there will be an orange box with notes about what’s not working. If that happens to you, take a screenshot of that and email it to  beth.wenger@keengrdc.org so she can see what the problem is and help you register.
